Three ways to read a color plate
Choose a format. Each one adapts to your answers.
Fresh patterns every time
Each plate is generated as you go, so you never rely on a pattern you remember.
The test adapts as you go
Color differences become subtler as the test progresses, while your answers fine-tune each step.
Rings, numbers, or zodiac animals
Use directional rings, identify a single digit, or recognize one of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals.
Results you can understand
See which color differences were clear and which are worth checking again.
Clear about its limits
Screen settings can affect the result, so this remains a screening test rather than a diagnosis.
Recent checks stay on this device
Completed results are stored only in this browser and can be cleared whenever you choose.
Frequently asked questions
How the three modes differ
Direction uses a broken ring, Numbers uses one digit, and Zodiac uses one of 12 animals. Numbers offers three choices or a 1–9 keypad; Zodiac offers three choices.
Why the plates keep changing
Dot positions, sizes, and brightness change with each question. This keeps the task focused on color rather than memory.
Why screen setup matters
Low brightness, color filters such as Night Shift or True Tone, and tinted lenses can change the colors you see and shift the result.
What the three color areas mean
They are the red, green, and blue-yellow differences checked here. A weaker result in one area is worth checking again.
Why this is not a diagnosis
This is an online screening test on an uncalibrated display. An eye care professional can confirm color vision type and severity.
Where your results are saved
This browser keeps the latest 20 completed checks for each mode. No account or upload is required, and you can clear them whenever you want.
